Love in the time of Coronavirus
We’re living in extraordinary times, Coronavirus/Covid-19 affecting almost every aspect of our lives. And of course it is impacting on people’s weddings, and is undoubtedly impacting on many couple’s decisions to even get married in the foreseeable future.
I’m currently busy liaising with dozens of couples whose weddings I was due to photograph in the coming days, weeks and months, and who have been forced to cancel or postpone their plans because of Covid-19. Most are deferring their wedding to late this year or into spring and summer next year.
I’ve also been pleasantly surprised by how many couples have got in touch because they are just starting to plan their wedding now. I imagine in some cases at least, lockdown and anxieties about the future have actually focused couples on what really matter to them.
A number of these couples have understandably asked questions along the lines of ‘what happens if we have to cancel or postpone our wedding because of a new lockdown, or something else relating to Coronavirus that means our wedding can’t go ahead?’
The simple answer is that I will fully refund deposits without any quibbles. Alternatively, if couples prefer, I can transfer their deposit to a revised date. But bottom line, couples are able to book me without any concern that postponing their plans because of Coronavirus will leave them out of pocket. It absolutely won’t.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you want to discuss this further.
