Lambeth Town Hall wedding photographer | local discount
I live literally a one-minute walk from Lambeth Town Hall in Brixton, South London, and have photographed dozens of weddings there over the years. It’s a venue I know inside out, not just because of how often I work there, but because it’s part of my everyday surroundings.
As such, I offer a 10% wedding photography discount for weddings at Lambeth Town Hall, or anywhere in Brixton.
Lambeth Town Hall has several very different ceremony spaces, including the Circular Hall, the Council Chamber, the Assembly Hall, the Olive Morris Suite, the Pauline Room and the Bowie Room. Each room needs a slightly different photographic approach. The size, layout, ceiling height and vantage points all affect how the ceremony unfolds and how it’s best photographed. Because I’ve worked in all of these rooms many times, I know where to position myself, how to work with the available light, and how to stay unobtrusive while still capturing what’s actually happening.
Knowing these differences in advance makes a big difference on the day, especially during short ceremonies where there’s no margin for hesitation or trial and error.
Outside, Lambeth Town Hall sits right in the middle of Brixton, which offers a huge amount of variety for couple portraits. From the steps of the Town Hall itself to the surrounding streets and nearby green spaces like Rush Common (or Brockwell Park, although that’s about a 12-minute walk away, so often isn’t viable), it’s easy to create a relaxed set of portraits without walking far or disappearing for long. My general approach is to keep this part of the day efficient and low key, so you’re not taken away from your guests for longer than you want to be.
